How to Overcome Your Limiting Beliefs
Limiting beliefs are firmly held convictions that hold us back in some way. By believing them, we end up minimizing what we are capable of doing and in turn we live lives that are not as supercharged as they could be. Everyone has limiting beliefs of some kind, and whether you know it or not, the limiting beliefs that you hold on to limit your success and ability to live a full and happy life. The sad thing is that many of these limiting beliefs are formed in childhood and have no truth to them. However, they still continue to have a negative effect on us all the way through life and are based on what we have been told about ourselves and the world in general. A wonderful way to overcome your negative beliefs is to observe the behavior of others. This can serve two purposes. First, it can help you uncover the ideas you have about yourself that you may not be aware you have. Noticing specific reactions and behaviors within ourselves can be hard. Secondly, when you watch others who are currently succeeding in an area of life that you are not doing so well in, you can start to uncover the beliefs that they hold that lead them to achieve success in that area of life. You can also hear what it is you say to yourself that holds you back. You can then begin to adopt new beliefs in your own life based on your observations and negative self-talk.
Be Your Own Mentor
Another technique you can use to overcome your limiting beliefs is to become your own mentor. Pretend that you are sitting across from your future self. Not only is the future you kind and wise, but they have achieved everything that you dreamed of for your life. Have a conversation with your future self and tell them about the areas in your life where you are currently having trouble with. Ask them to help you uncover your limiting beliefs, discover how you formed your limiting beliefs, how to interpret the situation differently, and help you produce a new set of beliefs.

Choose to spend time with people who are kind or supportive of your dreams and goals. Being around positive people can quickly uplift you and improve your self-esteem. Your coach will teach you the tricks of overcoming your current mindset with tools and techniques that will bring about changes quickly. Spending more time with people who are positive, and uplifting will go a long way toward improving your self-esteem.
